Wine routes to the regions and vineyards

Planning your wine route in advance will save you both time and money. Distances on a map can be deceptive if you are not accustomed to driving in France and careful choice of your arrival port can have a significant effect on the time it will take to reach a destination in the wine regions. See the notes on our driving pages for more information on planning your journey

Parking on your wine route
Look out for 'Zone Blue' parking schemes which apply in many tourist towns and cities. The scheme allows you to park in zoned areas for a limited period (which can vary from town-to-town). Zone Blue parking discs can be obtained from the local Office de Tourisme where you will advised of any limitations of use. There may be a small charge

To use these pages, click the link for More Pages at the top then go to Entry Ports button. Selecting your port of entry will reveal various destinations. Click the destination of your choice (or the nearest listed town) and you will be taken to your route

NEVER DRINK AND DRIVE
You don't need to swallow wine to taste it, so you can taste and still be safe on the road
